There is a Moslem tale that the prophet Muhammad had a cat. One time when Muhammad was called to prayers the cat was sleeping on a corner of his robe. He drew his knife and cut off that part of his robe that the cat might not be disturbed while Muhammad went to pray. It is said that the cat resides forever in Paradise.
