Bill Keyes posts: Just a quick word about the article I just posted, and a few ferret-facts. The preceeding article refers to *hunting* ferrets, still bred in some parts of the world. Most ferrets that you see in pet stores and in people homes are *domestic* ferrets. The savagery has been bred out of them in the years of professional breeding. Domestic ferrets are very friendly, curious, and loyal creatures. Hunting ferrets are mean and bloodthirsty -- because they've been bred that way. There's a lot of ignorant (but likely well-meaning) people out there that don't like ferrets because of the stories propagated. Most, if not all, of these fears are ill-founded. Just a small FYI. =) Bill. ("No, I've never been ferret-legging.")
